Department of Plant resources pursues the education of students
who can devote to the food production, utilization and development
of plant resources, and conservation and improvement of natural
environment. The curriculum of the department includes both
teaching and experiment in cultivation, management, and production
of major crops, plant breeding, plant ecology, genetic engineering,
and crop protection such as plant pathology and entomology.
The ultimate goal of the department is to search for the advanced
production technology, environment friendly cultivation method,
regeneration of new cultivar with useful traits and high quality,
and development of functional plant which is required in highly
industrialized society, and to contribute to the prosperity
and promotion of health of the people.
