The silkworm has provided a beautiful and fashionable silk
fabrics, and silkworm vegetable wasps and plant worm(Nue-dongchunghacho)
and special mulberry mushroom "Sangwhang" were identified
as very effective anti-cancer natural materials from recent
research data. Microorganisms such as fungi, bacteria and
viruses inducing the diseases of the silkworm, Bombyx mori,
are also very useful for bio-insecticids in agricultural field.
In the 21th century, the silkworm and insect industry will
be a good model for bio-industry. The students will experience
the real academic communication and study in the above investigation
field.
