Landscape Architecture is the art of designing, planning,
and managing the land. The goal is to produce a more useful
and enjoyable environment by applying cultural and scientific
knowledge with a concern for resource conservation and stewardship,
and the arrangement of natural elements on the land. Our department
offers basic and applied courses with advanced practice. Students
are taught the methods of dealing with small scale environments
as well as large, and the practical application of these methods
to actual conditions in the studio. Students may receive a
license, and after graduation, find work in the design, planning,
and construction professions.
