Fiber Engineering is a field of science and engineering dealing
with the production and application of various kinds of fibers,
and involves the study of their physical and chemical properties.
The department provides students with fundamental theories
and applied technology for producing, developing, and investigating
fibers, in order to satisfy the social demands brought about
by the developments in recent fiber and textile industries.
