Library
The University Library consists of general reading rooms
with an overall seating capacity for 540 library users,
modern equipment, a range of technical and cultural books
(totaling some 100,000 volumes), and about 450 kinds of
periodicals from domestic sources as well as abroad. A database
of all materials has been constructed and online catalogs
can be accessed through the Miryang National University
Library Document Retrieval and Online System. Client server
access and host access to the system are available on campus.
To support the University s role of teaching, research,
administration, and community service, the MNU Libraries
offer access to an extensive variety of quality information
Computer Center
The Miryang National University Computer Center was established
in 1993 as a support organization to meet the changing and
expanding computing and communication needs of the University.
The center provides several computing and communication
services to the University community and other educational
bodies. The responsibilities of the center are as follows:
- Coordinate and manage communication systems connected
to the World Wide Web via the campus network, enabling e-mail,
exchange of data, and information search
- Support the administrative and academic affairs of the
University
- Facilitate the innovative use of computers in education
and research
- Provide advanced information services and systems to
all members of the University
- Provide the University community with extra-curricular
computing courses, such as programming, web design, server
administration, DB applications, and several certification
courses to keep up with the rapid expansion of knowledge
and skills in computer software and hardware
- Provide information to regional bodies and cooperate
with local industry
