The study of architecture is a studio-based education with one-on-one intensive teaching. And architecture involves artistic creativity, analytical reasoning, technical capability, social consciousness, and historical perspective. The undergraduate program is designed to create a deep awareness and knowledge of the discipline of architecture, the ideas and values that affect the creative practice of architecture. The program of study emphasizes the base of knowledge that is specialized and particular to architecture. In addition to, the program focuses on training qualified architects and engineers can combine complex factors with
improvement, innovation and success. Students can major in architectural design and architectural engineering. Architectural
design is a 5-year-program emphasizing planning and design. And architectural engineering is a 4-year program specializing
in construction, structures, materials, and facilities.
Master's degree programs promote broad areas of knowledge, professional skill, and a social awareness that the architect
and architectural engineer must command if architecture is to enhance contemporary life and remain an enduring and valid
expression of society.
The Faculty of Architecture of Miryang National University is looking to become a center for architecture education in East Asia.
The Faculty of Architecture has been successfully conducting its Joint Design Studio Program, East Asian Architectural Design Camp, for the last three years with the Oita University of Japan
and Tongji University of China. Through this program, during the summer break, over 40 forign exchange students visited Faculty of Architecture and
participated joint design studio. Many students of MNU were visited to the Oita University and Tongji University too.
Especially, Since the year of 2000, We have been conducting "International Symposium of 21st Century Architecture" with Oita University as a annual join research program.
Almost of professors and graduate students of each university were participating at this joint research program now.
