Miryang City is a historical city in Korea with diverse heritages and places, respecting traditional culture and manners. Miryang is divided into 5 administrative districts in order to establish a well planned well build city with lots of trees and plants to provide a healthy natural environment for our citizens. Miryang have been developed based on a long term city development plan to restore the prosperity.
Miryang will be one of the best cities in southeast Korea in the 21st century.

Location
Miryang city is located in the northeast of Gyeongsangnam-province and half way between Busan and Daegu. The Kyeongbu (Railroad) line passes through the northeast part of the city and national highways #24 and #25 which run through the center of the city connect the adjacent cities of Changwon and Masan (45.2km), Ulsan (77.1km), Busan (79.1km), Daegu (85.4km), and Changyeong (39.3km). Thus easy transportation to and from the city is available.

Climate
Since Miryang is surrounded by mountains such as the Gaji Mountain to the northeast, Whaak Mountain to the northwest, Jaeyak Mountain to the east, and Jongnam Mountain to the southwest, its average temperature is 12.9 ¢®¨¡C, comparatively warm, and has an average year round humidity of 69% fh. The average year round wind velocity is 1.6 m/s. The seasonal winter wind is mainly north-north-west or northeast and the summer wind is from the southeast. According to Korea climate data the average amount of rainfall of 1231.4 mm shows that Miryang city receives an above average amount of rain. June, July, and August are the rainy season comprising up to 65% of the annual rainfall. Except for this period the other seasons are mostly dry. Miryang has very enjoyable climate conditions to live in and to grow various kinds of agriculture products.
