The Academic Affairs Committee of Miryang University decides upon and announces an enrollment period every year. Individuals who successfully meet admission requirements must submit a certified copy of a letter of support from a sponsor. After payment of tuition fees and completion of necessary administrative procedures, individuals gain student status at Miryang National University.
Eligibility Requirements
Undergraduate Admission
Freshman Admission
Foreign students and who have completed (or are expected to complete) elementary, middle, and high school abroad.
Transfer Admission
Foreign students and who have either graduated from a 4-year university or attended at least two years at a 4-year university and completed elementary, middle, and high school abroad.
Graduate Admission
For Master's Program
Foreign students holding a 4-year undergraduate degree and whose parents are both non-Korean nationals
Admission
Admission is based on the documents submitted, including recommendations, personal statement, and academic achievement record from previous academic institutions attended. An interview may be required, at the request of a specific department.
Korean proficiency
Once admitted to Miryang National University, all foreign students will be tested on their Korean proficiency before course registration, except for the following cases:
-students that have achieved Level 3 or above on the Korean Proficiency Test administered by the Korean embassy or consulate.
-graduate students if department does not request the Korean language proficiency
-Students who do not pass the Korean Proficiency Test will be required to take the Korean language course at the MNU Language Institute, plus their selection of courses
will be restricted.
COSTS
All students are expected to pay their tuition during the registration period, which is normally one week before the beginning of each semester. The tuition is not computed according to the
number of units taken, but rather on a flat rate, which may vary according to the department, or grade. The rates are reviewed annually and are subject to change without notice.
Tuition (for one academic year)
- Undergraduate: US$ 1,700 ~ 2,000
- Graduate: US$ 2,000 ~ 2,500
*There is no difference in tuition between Korean citizens and international students.
On-Campus Dormitory (for one academic year)
- Room & Board: US$ 1,200 ~ 1,500
